The poster depicts the link between family farms, sustainability, multifunctionality and agroecology. With this in mind, multifunctional family farming provides a much more logical model or paradigm to design and implement policies for agricultural sustainability.
This research was presented at the EAAE Seminar 175 “Wind of change” (https://eaae175.sustainabilitystandards.it/seminar/), 13th and 14th May 2021. The seminar aimed to improve understanding of sustainability standards and their effects on agricultural, food, and bio-based value chains.
This contribution fitted nicely into the thematic of the seminar since multifunctionality and family farming together form an essential pillar in the political framework supporting sustainability standards.
